Built around the OTDR trace standard — Bellcore / Telcordia SR-4731 and IEC 61300-3-40. FiberLens reads the structure directly, both v1.x and v2.x, including blocks most lightweight viewers skip.
A trace file is far more than a curve. FiberLens opens every part of it: the general info that names the cable, operator, wavelength and measurement direction, and the supplier info that identifies the OTDR's make, model and serial number. It reads the acquisition settings — the sample spacing, pulse width, refractive index and point count that set the resolution of the shot — and the full table of key events, listing every detected splice, connector and the fiber end. And at the heart of it all are the data points themselves: the raw sample values that form the trace curve. FiberLens opens both .sor and .msor files.
